Androgyny is a term derived from the Greek words aner, meaning man
gyne, meaning woman and refers to the mixing of masculine and feminine
characteristics, as in fashion, style and performance...
In 2009, Deseo~Teknique was the first and only Queen to win Drag Wars @
the Polo Club two times consecutively, in June and July, respectively.
If you have ever had the privilege to see one of Deseo~Teknique's
productions, you would agree without a doubt that her style and
presence is unlike any other.
Deseo~Teknique has successfully managed to fuse together many different
music genres, while introducing the audience to elements of the Theater
world, including props, choreography, costume changes, and special
effects hair & make-up by the extraordinary duo Teddy Ramos & Kate
Thorpe !
Although being relatively new to the world of Drag, Deseo~Teknique has
managed to gain a monumental following, that to this day continues to
flourish.
Known for her intense choreography and her "No Bullshit" attitude, she
has been actively sought out by other performers, and has had the honor
of working with Acts such as; Ivory, Chanel~Couture, Marita Bonita &
Essence.
Truly inspired by fierce performers who came before her such as Gia,
Chandelier Couture, Grace Nations & Nina Flowers, she humbly follows in
their footsteps while embarking down her own path on the runway!
