This Juilliard-trained opera singer, who studied with Simon Estes, has more to offer than an already impressive five-octave vocal range. Shequida is witty, charming, a linguist, and a skilled dancer. Shequida has the unique talent of bringing all peoples together. As Michael Musto of the Village Voice said, "with that voice, Shequida brings together the bourgeoisie and the unwashed masses in bravos."

Shequida played the outspoken bartender on the ABC daytime drama "One Life To Live" and has had successful tours in Germany, Spain, Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, Argentina, Hong Kong, and Canada. Shequida also played the title role in the the world premiere of Daron Hagen's Opera "Vera of Las Vegas."

Shequida is currently hosting and performing weekly in NYC and continues to entertain the world.
